Each one of us is endowed with the ability to create. While it may take many forms such as the: arts, engineering, writing, culinary, business, and more, this creativity allows us to take those unique quirks from our personality to past experiences, and use them to invest in the lives of those around us.
Our own creativity tends to latch onto subjects we are passionate about, allowing us therefore to connect much quicker and deeper with those around us that share these similar passions.
In my walk as a musician some of the most incredible memories and friendships I have made were through such endeavors. To quote the 2005 Robots "See a Need, Fill a Need", look for the needs in your community, listen to those around you, and commit yourself to seeing it filled.
From retirement homes to after school programs, existing organizations, and even starting your own, when we as a community breed our creativity with compassion for those living around us, we see lives changed and testimonies made.
*My challenge for you is to reach out to at least 2-3 friends and take a weekend to build something. Build something, then give it away.
